As CTO of the SharePoint Products and Professional Services Division, Mr. Au is responsible for leading the Microsoft SharePoint practice at XStream Software. He has worked with Microsoft SharePoint since version 2003. Mr. Au has a diverse technical background, spanning 10+ years in the IT industry. He previously worked at various hardware and software firms, serving in lead technical roles, for companies such as Nortel Networks, QNX, and Atsana Semiconductor.
Mr. Au has managed teams and implemented large scale Microsoft SharePoint solutions for various enterprise clients, including Telus, BC Hydro, Nav Canada, EDC, and Envision Financial. He is well versed in the overall lifecycle of Microsoft SharePoint projects and has specific expertise in implementing various vertical solutions such as document management, records management, enterprise search, collaboration, and web content management. Mr. Au has presented his knowledge and experience of the Microsoft SharePoint platform to public audiences, including Microsoft-sponsored events.
In addition to spearheading the professional services delivery of Microsoft SharePoint solutions, Mr. Au also leads a product development team at XStream Software in building Microsoft SharePoint software products.
Mr. Au is certified in Microsoft SharePoint technologies and holds a Microsoft Certified Professional designation.
Prior to XStream Software, Mr. Au was Founder and CEO of Cre8Object, a software firm specializing in Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint and .NET for enterprise solutions. Additionally, Mr. Au worked in the financial services industry as an investment banker specializing in M&A and debt/equity financing transactions for the oil & gas industry. Mr. Au is an active member of the technology community, and a co-founder of Fresh Founders, a club for young technology entrepreneurs.
Will holds a B.a.S.C. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
