Linux Simulator v1.0 is XStream's powerful 100% Programming-free simulation-authoring tool that enables developers to quickly and easily create, customize, and deploy fully Interactive or Non-Interactive Simulations that realistically duplicate the functionality of the live Linux environment.

Using a 'continuous' capturing technique, Linux Simulator records all real-time screen interactions (including screen changes, dialog box interactivity, mouse clicks, keystrokes, and cursor/mouse pointer movements) with any Linux-based software application to instantly create tutorials, demos, presentations, and more.

Linux Simulator files may be edited through a drag-and-drop edit suite, which includes provisions for adding non-recorded content frames, text, graphics, navigational hyperlinks, mouse pointer animations, colors, shapes, instructions boxes, and more.

Linux Simulator's edit suite enables developers to create Linux Simulator files in two ways. One way is to record and then edit/enhance the captured software simulations. The second way is to add blank frames to new Linux Simulator files and define the content for these frames using the edit suite. This enables developers to create all types of Linux Simulator files.

Linux Simulator files are saved in Flash .SWF format and are played through a web browser using the built-in Flash plug-in.
