XStream Software Releases
Unicode-enabled Version of RapidBuilder
Special version of RapidBuilder fully supports Unicode
standard for use of multiple international languages.
OTTAWA, Canada, May 29, 2006 - XStream Software Inc., a leading developer of advanced software technologies for e-learning, content & assessment authoring, streaming media, learning management, and web-based communication/collaboration technologies, today announced the release of RapidBuilder v4.0 Unicode, a special version of XStream's multimedia simulation and content authoring technology that fully supports the Unicode character set (for encoding multiple written languages).
Unicode is an industry standard that allows text and symbols from all languages to be used within an application. RapidBuilder Unicode supports the use of many different international languages, including Asian languages, within authored simulations and content files. Therefore, developers using RapidBuilder Unicode have the flexibility to create multilingual simulations and courses for distribution to a globally diverse international audience.
"The Unicode standard is increasingly accepted as the primary vehicle for the rapid globalization of e-learning," says Sunil K. Sethi, XStream's President and CEO. "By leveraging the Unicode standard, our RapidBuilder technology enables developers to create multilingual content that can be deployed globally and transcend traditional barriers of language and borders."
