XStream Software Releases SharePoint® Document Auto Title Powerful new product enhances SharePoint’s document management capabilities by automating the fill in of the “Title” column for newly uploaded documents. OTTAWA, Canada, Nov 17, 2011 - XStream Software, a Microsoft Certified Partner organization that provides innovative SharePoint solutions and consulting services, is pleased to announce the release of XStream SharePoint Document Auto Title, our latest software product for the SharePoint platform. This unique product transforms and streamlines the task of uploading new documents to SharePoint by automating the fill in of the “Title” column for each uploaded document.
Normally a user uploading a document to SharePoint is forced to manually fill in the “Title” column – a task that is usually accomplished by copying and pasting the filename of the document (minus the file extension) into the “Title” column. But with the XStream SharePoint Document Auto Title product, SharePoint users are freed from performing this repetitive and time-consuming task. The XStream SharePoint Document Auto Title product allows the “Title” column to be automatically filled in with the filename of the uploaded document. In addition, by adjusting the product’s configuration settings, the auto fill of the “Title” column can include custom prefix text and/or postfix text (thus allowing the auto fill to conform to any document naming standard that may be followed by an organization).
