Software's Vice President of Technology Receives 2004 "Forty
Under 40" Business
Excellence Award

award sponsored by Ottawa Business Journal recognizes
outstanding performance among Ottawa's young business
professionals.
OTTAWA, Canada, April 21,
2004 - XStream Software's Vice President of
Technology, Mahendra K. Agrawal, has been named
as one of the recipients of the 2004 Forty Under 40 Award
sponsored by the Ottawa Business Journal, a leading
business newspaper of the Nation's Capital.
Since 1997, the Forty Under 40 Awards have
been presented annually to a selected group of forty local
business professionals (all under the age of 40) by the Ottawa
Business Journal. After soliciting nominations from
the community, a special committee judges and ranks each
nominee based on a 40-point system: 20 points for professional
accomplishments, 10 points for professional excellence, and
10 points for community involvement. The forty recipients
of the award chosen by a panel of judges represent the best
and smartest of Ottawa's business community; they embody
the professionalism, commitment, creativity, and entrepreneurial
spirit of all those who are shaping Ottawa's economic future.
As one of this year's award recipients,
Mr. Agrawal is being recognized for many laurels in his capacity
as XStream's Vice President of Technology as well as his
past 'trainer of the year' awards in North America-wide contests
and business achievements in his training business career.
In his current role at XStream Software, Mr. Agrawal directs
and manages many key elements of the business (including
product conceptualization, management and coordination of
software design and development teams, new product design,
introducing new products to the market often with customizations,
customer solution planning, executive presentations, customer
relations, and more). He continues to drive the company forward
with his energy and ideas for making technology user friendly
and user empowering. Mr. Agrawal is also being recognized
for his charitable contributions to the community, and his
past contributions to development of a segment of the community.
It is this combination of business acumen and community awareness
that is celebrated with the Forty Under 40 Awards.

presented at a gala reception on June 9 in the ballroom of
the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa.
