XStream Software Wins its Second Silver Excellence in E-Learning Award
Award recognizing Performance Analyzer™ technology
is XStream’s sixth brandon-hall.com award.
OTTAWA, Canada, October 19, 2004 - XStream Software Inc. today announced that its Performance Analyzer assessment technology has received the Silver Award in the category of "Innovative Technology" from the 2004 Brandon Hall Excellence in E-Learning Awards program. This award, which is a powerful recognition of Performance Analyzer as a unique e-learning technology, is the second Silver Award presented to an XStream software technology in the Excellence in E-Learning Awards (with the first Silver Award having been earned by XStream's RapidBuilder™ simulation technology in 2003). It also represents the sixth brandon-hall.com award earned by XStream Software since 2001.
Performance Analyzer enables developers to create, customize, and deploy simulation-based performance assessments. A user taking a performance assessment goes through a series of steps within an interactive software simulation, and the actions performed by the user are measured, tracked and scored by the system (in order to determine the user's knowledge of particular applications tasks). Performance assessments are created by recording live tasks from any desktop or web application, and the recorded files may be customized with splash screens, login screens, introduction & ending screens, prefabricated user reports, and a wide variety of interactivity and multimedia elements, including appended/inserted step screens and content screens, text, graphics, audio, video, hyperlinks, animations, visual effects, and much more. Performance Analyzer files may be saved in a variety of formats (RPE, Flash, XML, EXE, SCORM, SCO), deployed on CD-ROM, Network (LAN/WAN) and Web (Internet, Intranet, or Extranet), and also integrated with interactive simulations/courses (created with XStream's RapidBuilder technology) and question-based exams/assessments (created with XStream's RapidExam™ technology).
"We are extremely pleased to receive this award for Performance Analyzer," says Sunil K. Sethi , XStream's President and CEO . "The simulation-based performance assessment capabilities of Performance Analyzer add a truly unique dimension to e-learning, and it is gratifying to have this innovation recognized in such a well respected forum."
