Software Launches RapidSVG™ v1.0 Professional
Professional
Edition of RapidSVG includes new SVG objects, support for
audio and JavaScript, and more.

has released RapidSVG v1.0 Professional , an elite
professional edition of XStream's 100% programming-free SVG
authoring technology. In addition to incorporating the existing
features of the RapidSVG Standard and Deluxe editions, RapidSVG
v1.0 Professional provides developers with an additional
rich layer of sophisticated authoring features representing
the latest advancements in SVG web content development.
New features available in RapidSVG v1.0
Professional include the following:
- SVG Patterns Palette - SVG patterns are now supported
in addition to colors and gradient blends. A new palette
allows default and custom patterns to be applied to SVG
objects in the same ways as colors and gradients.
- Imported SVG Objects - Developers may import and
embed external SVG objects into an SVG file.
- SVG "Use" Functionality - Supports the SVG "Use" element,
which enables the developer to define any SVG object/shape
as a "template", which may be reused multiple times (with
different properties and attributes applied in each instance)
within the SVG file.
- Audio Support - Linked audio files may be added
to an SVG file. The developer may also specify event triggers
for audio (i.e., a specific object or animation event will
automatically start or stop audio playback).
- Enhanced Source Editor - RapidSVG's Source Editor
(which enables the developer to directly edit the source
code for SVG pages) features several enhancements, including
print functionality, error highlighting/display, find and
replace functionality, page updating, bookmarking, and
more.
- JavaScript Support - JavaScript commands may be
added (through the Source Editor) to enhance interactivity
and add logic to SVG pages.
- Improved Spline Object - The Spline object (curved
shape) features several improvements to meet the latest
SVG standards and increase support for importing third-party
SVG files, including support for broken paths and adding/deleting
nodes.
