Software Launches Third Release of RapidManager and RapidPortal
Administration Technologies
RapidManager
v3.0 Release 3 and RapidPortal v1.0 Release 3 include management
/ tracking support for XStream's new RapidGuide technology.
OTTAWA, Canada, April 30,
2004 - XStream Software Inc., the leading
provider of today's unmatched E-learning, Authoring, and
Administration/Tracking technologies, has launched the
third release of its back-end RapidManager administration/tracking
technology and corresponding browser-based RapidPortal web
portal application. RapidManager v3.0 Release 4 and RapidPortal
v1.0 Release 3 include support for XStream's new RapidGuide performance
support software as well as several other new capabilities.
The latest release of RapidManager/RapidPortal
corresponds with the release of XStream's new RapidGuide
performance support technology, which is used to create and
deploy instructional guidance sessions and simulations. RapidManager/
RapidPortal has been updated to work with RapidGuide, which
replaces the LGP Builder technology that worked with previous
releases of RapidManager/RapidPortal. RapidGuide files may
be registered, managed, and tracked with RapidManager/ RapidPortal.
In addition to the new support for RapidGuide
files, RapidManager/RapidPortal includes a couple of other
new capabilities. System administrators may now generate
offline exams for Performance Analyzer exam/assessment files
(in addition to RapidExam exam/assessment files). An offline
exam can be taken by assigned users without being connected
to RapidManager/RapidPortal (via the LAN or Internet). Upon
completing the offline exam, the user transfers the results
to the system administrator, who then uploads the exam results
to the database for tracking and reporting purposes. System
administrators also have the option of generating certain
RapidManager/RapidPortal reports in either graphical or text
format. This capability provides administrators with an additional
option for customizing the appearance of generated reports.

tracking, and reporting of step-by-step live application
