v1.0 Release 2, the latest version of XStream's web
portal application. RapidPortal v1.0 Release 2 is
an integrated, browser-based portal application that provides
web portal accessibility for the comprehensive, enterprise-wide
administration and deployment of RapidBuilder projects,
SCORM v1.2 courses, RapidExam exams, Performance Analyzer
evaluations, and LGP categories over the Intranet and Internet.
RapidPortal v1.0 Release 2 works
in conjunction with RapidManager™ v3.0 Release
2,
XStream's back-end administrative management tool. It includes
both an Admin Portal component and a User
Portal component.
The web-based Admin Portal enables
an administrator (logged in through the Internet Explorer
browser) to access the database and services of RapidManager from
the web. The administrator may perform all of the same management
activities and functions that can be performed from the RapidManager interface,
including the registration and management of users/groups
and RapidBuilder projects, SCORM v1.2 courses, RapidExam
exams, performance exams, and LGP categories.
The web-based User Portal enables
an authenticated end user (logged in through the Internet
Explorer/Netscape browser) to access/launch all the courses,
exams, and LGP categories that have been assigned to him/her
by an administrator working in RapidManager or the Admin
Portal. In addition, the user may view his/her personal
profile information, set his/her login password, and generate
various predefined reports on assigned courses/exams.
