XStream Software Expands Support for SCORM v1.2 E-Learning Standards
RapidBuilder® v3.0 Deluxe, RapidExam™ v2.0 Deluxe,
Performance Analyzer™ v1.0, and RapidSVG™ v1.0 Deluxe are
all SCORM v1.2-compliant technologies.

has implemented full support for the SCORM v1.2 e-learning
standards in four (4) of its authoring technologies. XStream's RapidBuilder
v3.0 Deluxe, RapidExam v2.0 Deluxe, Performance Analyzer
v1.0, and RapidSVG v1.0 Deluxe technologies
all include the capability of authoring SCORM v1.2 courses,
which may be easily reused and shared with any Learning Management
System (LMS) that supports SCORM v1.2.
The Sharable Content Object Reference
Model (SCORM) v1.2 is an XML-based framework (developed
by various international standards organizations) used
to develop, package, and deploy e-learning content in a
universally accessible format. The learning content of
a SCORM v1.2 course comes in the form of Sharable Content
Objects (SCOs), which are browser-launchable, modular
objects that can be reused in other SCORM v1.2 courses.
In RapidBuilder v3.0 Deluxe, the developer may
create both SCORM v1.2 courses (containing multiple SCOs)
and single standalone SCOs (which may be subsequently incorporated
into other SCORM v1.2 courses). A RapidBuilder SCORM v1.2
course may contain multiple RBX-based SCOs and/or Flash-based
SCOs (where each SCO file represents an independent learning
unit or lesson in the course). In RapidExam v2.0 Deluxe,
an exam may be saved as a SCORM v1.2 course (incorporating
a single EXM-based or XML-based SCO representing the entire
exam) or as a standalone SCO. In Performance Analyzer
v1.0, a performance evaluation may be saved as a SCORM
v1.2 course (incorporating a single RPE-based, Flash-based,
or XML-based SCO representing the entire performance evaluation)
or as a standalone SCO. In RapidSVG v1.0 Deluxe,
an SVG project may be saved as a SCORM v1.2 course (incorporating
a single SVG-based SCO representing the entire project).
Any SCORM v1.2 course (created with RapidBuilder
v3.0 Deluxe, RapidExam v2.0 Deluxe, Performance
Analyzer v1.0, RapidSVG v1.0 Deluxe, or a third-party
SCORM v1.2 course-building tool) may be registered in XStream's
back-end RapidManager v3.0 Release 2 administration
tool (or in XStream's web-based RapidPortal v1.0 Release
2 application) in order to be deployed, managed, and
tracked.
