Associated Knowledge Documents (AKDs)
For each topic/subtopic
created in RapidGuide, the developer
can include a searchable repository of
AKDs. These are supporting documents/files
(of any type or extension) that users
can access to obtain additional information
or related knowledge about the topic/subtopic.
Developers may assign all types of external
files (including content files created
with XStream’s RapidBuilder, RapidExam,
and Performance Analyzer technologies)
as AKDs. In addition, developers may
create internal Q&A documents (using
RapidGuide’s built-in text editor)
and posted notes.

Text and Audio Instructions
For each recorded step in
the guidance session, RapidGuide provides an
Instruction Box, which is used to specify instructions
explaining how to perform the step. The developer
may add text instructions (with a customized
font style, size, and color), which will be
presented to the user at runtime in a sequential,
scrollable list. The developer may also add
voice / audio instructions by recording
sound from an available audio device or linking
to a selected audio file. During playback,
the audio will play automatically for each
step. In addition, supplementary
details (providing
additional information or explanation) may
be added to each step and optionally viewed
by the user at runtime.
Multi-Language Support
RapidGuide includes support
for multilingual instructions. The developer
may add text/audio instructions and details
in multiple languages. During playback, the
user is allowed to choose his/her preferred
language.
