XStream RapidShare™ LMS Features and Benefits (At a Glance...)

• Reporting Capabilities - Over 150+ predefined reports are available. User reports may be generated from the user, group, or department-level points of view, and content matter reports may be generated from the content matter/event or learning path points of view. Reports may be viewed online, printed, and exported to other formats (including Excel).
• Customize User Interface Elements - Customized welcome pages and banner images may be specified for each organization unit within the LMS. A welcome page can be used for a variety of purposes, such as welcoming members to the organization, providing an overview and description of the organization, specifying milestones and deadlines, and more. A banner image may be used to show the organization's logo, a website advertisement, a headline, a combination of a logo and other text (e.g., guidelines), etc.
   
  Other interface elements (such as fonts, colors, etc.) may also be customized via Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
• Easy Navigation - XStream RapidShare LMS provides a Navigator Tree , which enables the user to easily browse through and access the various items/components of the LMS. The Navigator Tree is automatically updated/refreshed by the system whenever changes are made to items within the LMS.
   
  The Navigator Tree also includes the following functionality:
  • Read/Unread Status - Through the Navigator Tree, the user can see at a glance which objects/items have been changed or added since the user's last visit to the LMS. The Navigator Tree automatically displays an Unread Mark (an envelope symbol) next to each item that has been added, changed or modified since the user last visited or worked with that item. The item can represent an object that does not contain any other items under it (such as a file, a link, a note, etc.) or a folder that contains at least one item that has been added, changed or modified. As soon as the user has visited the unread item, the system automatically removes the unread mark and displays the item with Read Status.
  • Change Icon - Users may customize the icons that are displayed in the Navigator Tree. Members may import custom icon images to replace the default icons used for different objects in the tree.
  • Keyword Search Facility - The Navigator Tree includes a keyword search facility for quickly locating specific objects within the tree.
• Concurrent Logins - Administrators may designate any user account as having the capability to log in multiple times (i.e., log in concurrently from different machines). By default, a user can only log in once with a user ID or password. However, with this "Concurrent Login" option selected, a user's login ID and password can be used to log in multiple times. This enables a user account to be used for logging in to the system anonymously (i.e., users do not have to disclose their personal login ID and password). This capability is useful for creating public courses and training materials, anonymous surveys/polls, etc.
• Bookmarking Capability - While logged in to a registered RapidBuilder file, RapidExam file, or SCORM v1.2 course, an authenticated user may stop at and mark a specific screen/frame before exiting in order to return to that location upon the next login.
• Offline Exams - System administrators may generate RapidExam exams (.EXM files) and performance exams (.RPE files) as offline exams. Assigned users can take offline exams without being connected to the LAN or the Internet. Upon completing the offline exam, the end user transfers the results to an administrator, who then uploads the results to the LMS for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Archiving Capabilities - The system can automatically store all deleted content matter/events and associated data in an archived location. The archived content may be subsequently restored to the LMS or permanently removed.
• Recycle Bin - The Recycle Bin object is a repository for files and other items that have been deleted/removed from the LMS by authorized members. Items stored in the Recycle Bin may be deleted permanently or restored to their previous locations within the LMS.
• Cut/Copy/Paste Functionality - XStream RapidShare includes facilities for cutting/copying and pasting files and other objects between folders.
• Search Capabilities - Users may use the built-in search engines to search for and locate specific objects/items within the LMS, including files, folders, and other objects.
• Section 508 Compliance - Includes full support for the accessibility requirements specified in Section 508 of the U.S Rehabilitation Act. XStream RapidShare LMS is a 508-compliant technology that may be fully accessed by users with physical disabilities or limited mobility.
• Unicode Support - Includes support for the Unicode character set (for encoding multiple written languages).
• Multi-Language Support - Supports English, French, Danish, and Norwegian (with upcoming support for additional languages).
• Communication and Collaboration Capabilities - XStream RapidShare LMS provides optional access to powerful Communication and Collaboration Capabilities, which enable users to share files, collaborate on the development of learning content and other types of content, and engage in live chat and discussions.
